Tendril Foundation conducts environmental and policy research and surveys in various areas in Sri Lanka. The findings are presented in local and international conferences and published in journals.
Tendril Foundation facilitates environmental researchers from diverse fields. The restored forest lands have been used as research areas and biodiversity survey are encouraged in such areas.
After conducting a survey, Tendril Foundation developed a proposal to establish a wildlife corridor to connect the fragmented forest patches in Handapan Ella and Walan Kanda. This was presented to the Forest Department.

ViewConservation Volunteer Training Workshop - Panama
Tendril Foundation organized a Conservation Volunteer Training Workshop to train 40 conservation volunteers in Panama, Ampara District on 22 December 2018 Sri Lanka. The workshop covered both theoretical and practical sessions including conservation policies, biodiversity, forest and species conservation, and usage of technology for environmental conservation. Dr. Indi Akurugoda, Dr. Thissa Hemaratne, Mr. Samitha Somathilake, Mr. Chirath Jeewantha and Mrs. Kaushalya Dissanayake contributed as resource persons on behalf of the Tendril Foundation. Mr. Manjula Karunaratne has coordinated the event.

This training programme aimed at educating the government officials on implementing policies and addressing problems related to environment. Mr. Manjula Karunaratne was the resource person in this programme.
